On 28 December 2016, H.E. Mr. Javier Becker Marshall, Ambassador of the Republic of Chile to the Kingdom of Thailand and Dean of the Diplomatic Corps in Thailand, paid a courtesy call on H.E. Mr. Don Pramudwinai, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Thailand, to bid farewell upon the completion of his duty.

In this occasion, the Minister of Foreign Affairs expressed his appreciation for Ambassador Becker’s commitment and dedication to the promotion of Thai – Chilean  bilateral relations, especially in terms of trade and investment in which Ambassador Becker had a significant role in establishing the Thailand – Chile Free Trade Agreement in November 2015. 

Ambassador Becker took the opportunity to express his appreciation for the support and cooperation that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs rendered to him and the Embassy of the Republic of Chile during the past five years of his tenure in Thailand. He also reiterated that, back in Chile, he will always be a Friend of Thailand.
