      On 7December 2016, H.E. Mr. Yukio Hatoyama, Former Prime Minister of Japan met with H.E. Ambassador Bansarn Bunnag to report the outcome of his visit to Thailand for the Horasis Asia Meeting, that was held between 27-28 November 2016. The Horasis Asia Meeting is a world economic forum, which was held in the Asia region for the first time and Thailand was selected to host this meeting. H.E. Mr. Hatoyama, expressed that he really appreciated and was interested in the Philosophy of Sufficiency Economy that was conceived and developed by the late King Bhumibol Adulyadej and that he wanted the book of Sufficiency Economy to be translated to Japanese. This philosophy would be useful for the economy and improve the lives of people around the world. In addition, H.E. Mr. Hatoyama expressed his appreciation to the Royal Thai Embassy and the Thai Government for making it convenient for him to sign the book of condolence to the late King at the Grand Palace on 28 November 2016. The Ambassador stated that the visit of Former Prime Minister Hatoyama to Thailand and signing the book of condolence was touching and it showed the close relations between Thailand-Japan at every level. After the meeting with the Ambassador, H.E. Mr. Hatoyama went to sign the book of condolence in the hall of the Royal Thai Embassy as well.
