           On 30 October 2016, Ms. Sutthiluck Sa-ngarmangkang, Consul-General of Thailand to Vancouver, participated in a Buddhist ceremony jointly organized by Wat Buddapanyanuntarama in Burnaby and the Thai Community in Vancouver and nearby cities to pay tribute to His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej. The ceremony was attended by more than 200 people.
           After the Buddhist merit-making ceremony for His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej, the Consul-General also delivered remarks to pay homage to His Majesty the King and all participants jointly sang the Royal Anthem to express their deepest love, highest respect and profound gratitude to His Majesty the King. The Royal Thai Consulate-General in Vancouver also opened a Condolence Book on this occasion.
            The Buddhist ceremony to pay tribute to His Majesty the King was followed by the Kathina ceremony in the afternoon.
