From 3 to 5 October 2016, H.E. Mr. Narong Sasitorn, Ambassador of Thailand to the Czech Republic attended important activities held in MSV Fair 2016. The International Engineering Fair (MSV) is the leading industrial trade fair in Central Europe, organized annually in Brno, the vital economic city of the Czech Republic.
On 3 October 2016, H.E. Mr. Ambassador participated in the official Opening Ceremony of the MSV Fair 2016 hosted by H.E. Mr. Milos Zeman, the President of the Czech Republic. The ceremony was also actively attended by the Prime Minister, President of the Senator of the Parliament, Minister of Industry and Trade, Minister of Labour, Mayor of Brno Municipality and high level executives from governmental and private sectors of the Czech Republic.
On 5 October 2016, H.E. Mr. Ambassador, in the capacity as Chairman of the ASEAN Committee in Prague (ACP), delivered an opening remarks at the seminar ‘ASEAN—Your Opportunities in Southeast Asia’. The seminar was jointly organized by the ACP, comprising of Indonesian Embassy, Malaysian Embassy, Philippine Embassy, Thai Embassy and Vietnamese Embassy, and the Brno Chamber of Commerce, with an aim to promote the better understanding about the economic development and opportunities in ASEAN.
Each year, the MSV Fair is attended by more than 1,500 exhibitors and more than 75,000 visitors from 59 countries worldwide. This year, a number of Thai entrepreneurs, leaded by the Thai Subcontracting Promotion Association, also took part in the Fair. Miss Yossavadee Kaevatana, Minister Counsellor (Commerce) and Mr. Amnat Chulajata, Senior Professional Investment Officer from the Office of the Board of Investment, also jointed at the Thai Pavilion to introduce Thai products and investment opportunity. Moreover, H.E. Mr. Ambassador, as well, took this opportunity to visit the Thai booth and exchange views with the Thai entrepreneurs in order to create more trade cooperation between Thailand and the Czech Republic.
