Thailand to host ACD Connect Business Forum2016
to help drive a prosperous Asia
Thailand will host an ACD Connect Business Forum 2016, or ACD Connect 2016 in short,on 9th October 2016, prior to the 2nd ACD Summit, at Plaza Athénée Bangkok, as a dedicated platform which will bring together hundreds of entrepreneurs from leading companies, financial institutions, regulators, and government entities of ACD Member States. General Prayuth Chan-ocha, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Thailand, will deliver an opening statement at the Forum.
At this Forum, Asia’s brightest entrepreneurial minds will have an opportunity to exchange ideas and propose actions that will propel Asia towards a prosperous future. Their proposals will be presented to ACD leaders during an interactive session at the ACD Summit. The first ACD Connectwill focus on connectivity as it isa vital underpinning of stability, prosperity, inclusive and sustainable growth in Asia. The Forum will amplify the voice and diverse strengths of Asian businesses and their initiatives for action.
The ACD Connect 2016 derives at the two sub-themes to strengthen ACD’s economic competitiveness and resilience, namely Driving Asian’s Economies with Financial Technology (FinTech) and Financing Infrastructure in Asia.
Participants at the first ACD Connect will have the privilege to be automatically enlisted in the ACD Connect Network Portal, to be launched at the conclusion of the first ACD Connect Business Summit. The ACD Connect Network Portal will serve as the sole directory listing the private sector of Asia across 6 priority pillars of ACD to facilitate business opportunity among the ACD countries.
Media registration will be done online only through ACD website at www.acdsummit2016.com under the banner “Media”. To complete online registration, you will need to upload (1) recent Photo (2 inches, digital format), (2) a copy of passport for foreign media or Identification Card for Thai media, and (3) a copy of Media Identification. Unregistered media will not be allowed to enter the meeting premises.
Registered media must bring identification document (passport or ID card) to collect media badge at the Press Centre of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, G Floor from 7 – 8 October 2016, 08.30 – 16.30 hrs.
