On 18 September 2016, the Royal Thai Embassy in Nairobi organized “the Propagation of Buddhism and the Strengthening of the Solidarity of Thai Community in Uganda Project” at the Uganda Buddhist Centre, Entebbe. The project was a part of the implementation of a cultural diplomacy of Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Thailand, and aimed at propagating Buddhism in East Africa and strengthening relationship between all Buddhist practitioners in Uganda. In this occasion, the Royal Thai Embassy, led by H.E. Ambassador Prasittiporn Wetprasit, together with Ms. Barbara Mulwana, Thai Honorary Consul to Uganda, and Thais in Uganda were offering food and daily use products to a Buddhist monk at the centre.
