On 21 September 2016, at 16.00 hrs., a caravan of 30 Ferrari cars from Ferrari Owners’ Club Singapore lined up at the Royal Thai Embassy Singapore for an official flag-off ceremony before commencing their Singapore-Malaysia-Songkhla-Phuket overland route during 5-9 October 2016. The flag-off ceremony was officiated by H.E. Mr. Thongchai Chasawath, Ambassador of Thailand to Singapore, and was joined byofficers from the Royal Thai Embassy and Team Thailand. 

           Ambassador Thongchai Chasawath welcomed and congratulated the Club for organising this overland road trip to Thailand in conjunction with the Tourism Authority of Thailand. The trip should boost confidence in Thailand among high-end tourists and contributed to the good image of the country. 

           In return, Mr. Greg Teo, President of Ferrari Owners’ Club Singapore, expressed appreciation to Ambassador Thongchai Chasawath for the warm welcome and for allowing the use of the Embassy’s compound as flag-off location.
