On 31 August 2016, Madam Hiroko Matsushima, President of Nihon Wasou Gakuen, paid a courtesy call on Consul-General Dusit Manapan to express her gratitude for the Royal Thai Consulate-General’s support for the successful organization of the 44th Japan Nationwide Kimono Dressing Contest of Nihon Wasou Gakuen in Kyoto during 30-31 July 2016. The event was an opportunity for Thailand-Japan cultural exchange as Nihon Wasou Gakuen coordinated closely with Thai-Japanese Association (Kimono) in inviting a group of Thai youths to perform Thai traditional dances during the opening ceremony of the event. In this connection, Consul-General Dusit reaffirmed the Royal Thai Consulate-General’s continued support to Nihon Wasou Gakuen in organizing such cultural exchange activities during the Japan Nationwide Kimono Dressing Contest to strengthen the ties of friendship between the peoples of Thailand and Japan.
