The Royal Thai Embassy in Riyadh organized the celebration of Her Majesty the Queen Sirikit’s 84th Birthday Anniversary and Thai Mother’s Day in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia and Beirut, Lebanon, on Friday 12 August and Sunday 14 August 2016 respectively, joined by Thai communities of the two capitals.    

            Mr. Danai Menabodhi, Charge d’ Affaires of the Embassy led his officials and their families along with Thai community in Riyadh to celebrate this auspicious occasion at the Thai Ambassador’s Residence. After the official ceremony, the Embassy provided free medical check-up services for the Thai community operated by a local health care team. The consular services of renewing Thai I.D. Cards was also provided while the consultation on labour issue by the Thai Labour Office in Saudi Arabia was held.    

             In Beirut, Mr. Dhanatphongse Smitabindu, Minister Counsellor, accompanied by his officials, in cooperation with the Office of Thai Honorary Consulate-General in Beirut and Thai People in Lebanon Club, co-organized the celebration to Her Majesty the Queen at the Office of the Consulate-General. Around 80 Thais and families participated in this special event. Mobile consular services of e-passport, legalization and labour consultation were provided after the official ceremony.

             Thai communities both in Riyadh and Beirut were fulfilled with joy in commemorating their beloved Queen and also appreciation of medical and consular services arranged by the Embassy. These activities aim to create stronger Thai Communities abroad and their well-being, in line of the consular diplomacy and people-centered policy of the Government.
