On 26 July 2016, Ambassador Vijavat and Mrs. Wannipa Isarabhakdi presided over a Buddhist ceremony, organized by the Royal Thai Embassy in Ottawa, to celebrate the auspicious occasion of His Royal Highness Crown Prince Maha Vajiralongkorn's 64th Birthday Anniversary on

28 July 2016. The ceremony took place at Ratchadhamviriyaram 1 Temple in Ottawa.

On behalf of the Thai community in Canada, Ambassador Vijavat expressed his utmost gratitude to His Royal Highness for his immense contributions to the country, along with the humble wishes of the Thai community for His Royal Highness’s good health, happiness, and long life. During the ceremony, a meditation session and dedication of merit in honour of HRH the Crown Prince were also conducted. The celebration was attended by members of the Thai community in Ottawa and surrounding areas.
