Following the incident at Ataturk Airport, Istanbul on 28 June 2016, H.E. General Prayut Chan-o-cha, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Thailand sent a message of condolences to H.E. Mr. Binali Yıldırım, Prime Minister of Turkey, while H.E. Mr. Don Pramudwinai, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Thailand, sent a message of condolences to H.E. Mr. Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkey as follows:

Excellency,
I have learnt with deepest sorrow of the tragic explosion that occurred at Atatürk International Airport in Istanbul on 28th of June 2016 which resulted in the loss of many innocent lives and left many injured.
On behalf of the Royal Thai Government and the people of the Kingdom of Thailand, I would like to extend my heartfelt sympathy and condolences to Your Excellency, and through you to the bereaved families of the victims for their loss. In the wake of this sadness, Thailand stands in solidarity with the international community in strongly condemning acts of inexcusable violence in all forms.

I have learned with profound sadness about the tragic gun fires and bomb explosions on 28th of June 2016 at Ataturk International Airport in Istanbul, causing several losses of innocent lives and many injuries.
During this moment of sorrow and bereavement, I wish to extend my sincere condolences and sympathy to the people of the Republic of Turkey, particularly to the bereaved families of the victims.
In condemning this act, Thailand remains firmly committed to cooperate with international community in fight against violence and prevent this intolerable act from happening again.
