On 25 May 2016 Ms. Sutthiluck Sa-ngarmangkang, Consul-General of Thailand to Vancouver, accompanied by Mr. Narat Vidyananda, Consul, met with Dr. Adel El Zaim, Executive Director, International Office, University of British Columbia  to promote research cooperation between Thailand and Canada. The two sides agreed to further explore the possibility of setting up a joint short term research project for visiting Thai Ph.D. students to work with Canadian experts at University of British Columbia.
