H.E. Mr. Han Zheng, Secretary of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Shanghai Municipal Committee and Member of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of CPC, will pay an official visit to Thailand during 10-11 May 2016 as guest of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The aim of the visit is to further promote the overall bilateral relations between Thailand and China, the cooperation between Thailand and Shanghai in areas of economic, trade, investment, tourism, education, culture as well as to strengthen ties between Shanghai Municipality and Bangkok Metropolitan.

During the visit, H.E. Mr. Han Zheng will call on the Prime Minister of Thailand, the Deputy Prime Minister H.E. Dr. Somkid Jatusripitak, and the Governor of Bangkok. A luncheon will be hosted by H.E. Mr. Don Pramudwinai, Minister of Foreign Affairs at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. A meeting with Thai private sector is also in the schedule.

This is the first visit to Thailand of H.E. Mr. Han Zheng as the Shanghai CPC Party chief and also as one of the top leaders of the Communist Party of China.
