On 3 April 2016, H.E. Dr. Kriangsak Kittichaisaree, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand to the Russian Federation, together with diplomats of the Embassy, hosted a working dinner for H.E. Vitavas Srivihok, Deputy Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Thailand, as the Senior Official (SOM Leader) attending the 13^th ASEAN-Russia Senior Officials’ Meeting in Moscow on 5 April 2016. The Deputy Permanent Secretary was accompanied by Mr. Jakkrit Srivali, Director-General of the Department of ASEAN Affairs, and officers of the Department. 

Also, on 9 April 2016, the Thai Ambassador and diplomats of the Embassy hosted a working dinner for H.E. Mr. Norachit Sinhaseni, former Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Thailand, who visited Moscow as Thailand’s Eminent Person to attend the meeting of the ASEAN-Russia Eminent Persons Group to draft the ASEAN-Russia Comprehensive Action Plan for 2016-2020, as well as Mr. Rapibhat Chandarasrivongs, Assistant to the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives, who headed a delegation to finalize two agreements on agriculture to be signed during the visit of the Prime Minister of Thailand to the Russian Federation in May 2016 and to prepare for the setting up of the Office of Agricultural Affairs in Moscow.

On both occasions, the Thai Ambassador and senior officials from Thailand exchanged views on Thai-Russian relations in all dimensions, as well as on the preparation for the visit of H.E. the Thai Prime Minister to the Russian Federation to attend the ASEAN-Russia Summit Commemorative Summit to mark the 20^th Anniversary of ASEAN-Russia relations.
