The special talk on ‘ASEAN-Community – Your Opportunities in Asia’ was organized by the Royal Thai Embassy in Prague, in collaboration with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic, with the support of the Institute of Economic Studies, Charles University and CzechTrade, on 30 March 2016, at the Great Hall of the Ministry. The keynote speaker, H.E. Dr. Surin Pitsuwan, former Minister of Foreign Affairs of Thailand, former Secretary-General of ASEAN and Professor Emeritus at Thammasat University, excellently raised the interest in ASEAN among the Czech business sectors, governmental agencies and academics by providing comprehensive information on the business opportunities and benefits in ASEAN, as well as in Thailand. On this occasion, H.E. Mr. Narong Sasitorn, Ambassador of Thailand to the Czech Republic and H.E. Mr. Ivan Jančárek, Junior Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic also delivered constructive remarks focusing on the economic cooperation between the Czech Republic and ASEAN.
