On 16 February 2016, H.E.Mr. Niall Burgess, Secretary – General of the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Ireland, together with H.E. Mr. Brendan Rogers, Ambassador of Ireland to Thailand, and Ms. Maeve Collins, Director, Asia-Pacific Unit, met with H.E. Mr. Vitavas Srivihok, Deputy Permanent Secretary as Acting Permanent Secretary, on the occasion of his first visit to Thailand to officially open the Embassy of Ireland in Thailand. Both sides also discussed ways to enhance bilateral relations between Thailand and Ireland.
