During 10 – 11 February 2016, H.E. Mr. Don Pramudwinai, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, will pay an official visit to the Republic of Indonesia at the invitation of H.E. Mrs. Retno Lestari Priansari Marsudi, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Indonesia. The Foreign Minister will pay a courtesy call on H.E. Mr. Joko Widodo, the President of Indonesia, and hold talks with the Indonesian Foreign Minister, H.E.Ms. Susi Pudjiastuti, the Indonesian Minister of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries and H.E. Mr. Le Luong Minh, ASEAN Secretary-General.

          This visit aims to further strengthen the relationship between both countries and follow up the implementation of the discussion between the Prime Minister and the President of Indonesia at the Asian – African Summit on 23 April 2015 in Jakarta, Indonesia and the Indonesian Foreign Minister’s Official Visit to Thailand on 2 April 2015.

          Thai side will discuss bilateral and regional issues with Indonesian side including the Prime Minister’s invitation to the President of Indonesia for the official visit, the preparation of the 9^th Indonesia – Thailand Joint Commission (JC) for Bilateral Cooperation hosted by Indonesia, the comprehensive and sustainable solution of the fishery, the promotion of trade and investment, the enhancement of Thailand’s export of agricultural products and rice to Indonesia and the cooperation on counter-terrorism. Both sides will discuss and exchange their views on the regional issues such as propelling the ASEAN Community.
