On 16 January 2016, Ms.Wanthanee Viputwongsakul, Chargé d'affaires, the Royal Thai Embassy in Hanoi, attended the donation ceremony to honour and thank persons/organizations which made significant donation in 2015 to the National Fund for Vietnamese Children (NFVC), Vietnamese Government agency mobilizing resources to support Vietnamese impoverished children. The event was presided over by Mrs Nghyen Thi Doan, Vice President of Vietnam and Chairwomen of the NFVC, at the Presidential Palace and Âu Co Theater. Chargé d'affaires also gave remarks on behalf of the supporters to the Fund.
On 5 December 2015, the Royal Thai Embassy in Hanoi, in cooperation with the Tourism Authority of Thailand, Ho Chi Minh Office, Thai Airways International, Thailand Foundation, Thai business community in Vietnam and Thai community in Hanoi, organized Thailand Day 2015 with an aim to showcase Thailand in all aspects, especially tourism, culture, food and fruits, as well as to strengthen the Thai community in Hanoi and the Northern provinces. After the event, the proceeds from organizing the event in the amount of 70 million dong were donated to the NFVC to help Vietnamese children.
