Thailand is shocked and saddened to learn of the bomb explosions and shooting today (14 January 2016) in Jakarta, causing the loss of several innocent lives.  Our thoughts and prayers extend to all the victims and their families.  Thailand joins Indonesia and the international community in condemning this heinous crime. The Government of Thailand supports the Government of Indonesia in its efforts to bring the perpetrators to justice.
         The Thai authorities are closely monitoring developments and have reinforced the security at the Indonesian Embassy in Bangkok.
