During 25 - 28 November 2015. The purposes of the visit were to meet with high-level officials of Japan's government authorities and private sector, including H.E. Mr. Shinzo Abe, Prime Minister of Japan, and Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance, H.E. Mr. Taro Arzo, as well as to give a briefing on Thailand’s new economic strategy to Japanese investors. Relevant ministers and high-level officials from economic ministries were of his entourage. 

 

            During his visit, the High-Level Joint Commission (HLJC) Meeting between Thailand and Japan was also held with the exchanges of Memorandum of Intent on the Establishment of the HLJC Mechanism, Memorandum of Cooperation on East-West Economic Rail Development, and the Memorandum of Intent on Human Resources Development in Industrial Sector of Mekong Countries.  

 

            In this occasion, H.E. Mr. Sihasak Phuangketkeow, Ambassador of Thailand to Japan, hosted dinner in honour of the Deputy Prime Minister and his delegation at his residence in the evening of 27 November 2015. High-level officials from Japanese government and private sectors who are friends of Thailand also joined the event.
