On 30 November 2015, the Prince Mahidol Award Foundation under the Royal Patronage (PMAF) held a press conference at Prince Mahidol Aduldej Room, Siriraj Medical Library, Siriraj Hospital, Bangkok, to announce this year’s Prince Mahidol Award Youth Program Scholarship. Mr. Sek Wannamethee, Director-General of the Department of Information and Chair of the PMAF Public Relations Sub-Committee, Professor Supat Vanichyakarn, Secretary-General of the PMAF, Professor Vicharn Panich, Chairman of Prince Mahidol Award Youth Program Steering Committee, Assoc. Professor Apichat Asavamongkolkul, Chairman of Prince Mahidol Award Youth Program Working Committee, and Professor Somphop  Limpongsanurak, Chairman of Prince Mahidol Award Youth Program Selection Committee jointly addressed the press.

       The names of five scholarship recipients of Prince Mahidol Award Youth Program are as follows:

1.       Miss Praelada  Wongsirimeteekul       Faculty of Medicine, Chiang Mai University

2.       Mr. Poompong Sripa                          Faculty of Medicine, Khon Kaen University

3.       Mr. Phuwanat Sakornsakolpat            Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol University

4.       Mr. Seelwan Sathitratanacheewin       Faculty of Medicine, Chulalongkorn University

5.       Mr. Soravis Osataphan                      Faculty of Medicine, Srinakharinwirot University

            The recipients of the award will receive a 1 year scholarship for research study, professional training or community development in Thailand or abroad. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has arranged a preparation briefing for recipients before going abroad.
