On 17 November 2015, the Department of East Asian Affairs, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Institute of East Asian Studies, Thammasat University organised the East Asia Round Table Series 2015 on “Connectivity in the Mekong Sub-Region: High-Speed Geopolitics in the Heart of ASEAN” at Pullman Bangkok King Power Hotel.                    

         The meeting discussed issues related to dynamics and economic development in the Mekong sub-region which has attracted intense economic cooperation from China, Japan and the Republic of Korea. Representatives from public and private sectors, and academics of the Mekong sub-region countries as well as scholars from China, Japan and the Republic of Korea participated in the discussion.

         The round table discussion is organised annually as a forum to discuss foreign policies of Thailand, and countries in the Mekong sub-region and the East Asia region.
