On 14 November 2015, Deputy Consul-General Chanida Kamalanavin, delivered an opening remarks at the Thai-Japan Integrated Annual Education Talk organized by TSAJ at Kyoto Institute of Technology. The event was attended by about 100 Thai students from all over Japan. The event’s key speakers included Khunying Dr. Pornthip Rohjanasunand and Mr. Sarawut Hengsawad (famous Thai writer with pen name “Roundfinger”).
On 15 November 2015, Deputy Consul-General Chanida Kamalanavin, attended the Sports Day of TSAJ at Ichinomoto School in Nara. About 50 Thai students attended the event to participate in various kinds of sports including badminton, table tennis, chair ball and basketball. The main purpose was to strengthen friendship and unity amongst members of TSAJ.
In the opening of the two events, the Deputy Consul-General commended TSAJ for its active roles in organizing academic and recreational activities in a balanced manner. The Deputy Consul-General expressed the hope for Thai Students in Japan, with knowledge and experience gained during their years in Japan, to become valuable resource for Thailand’s development in the future. She also hoped that the students would become significant driving force for the enhanced friendship between Thailand and Japan in the future. The Deputy Consul-General reaffirmed the Royal Thai Consulate-General in Osaka’s readiness to continue its full support to TSAJ in the organization of such activities which helped strengthen TSAJ and the Thai community in Japan.
