On 10 November 2015, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Thailand and the Embassy of Peru jointly hosted the Reception to Celebrate the 50^th Anniversary of the Establisment of Diplomatic Relations between Thailand and Peru. On this occasion, H.E. Mr. Apichart Chinwanno, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and H.E. Mr. Felix Denegri, Ambassador of the Republic of Peru to Thailand presided over the ceremonies. The event was attended by approximately 150 guests, including the President of the Thailand – Peru Parliamentarians Friendship Group, former Thai ambassadors, the Latin American Diplomatic Corp, senior officials from various ministries and government agencies, as well as many other distinguished guests.

        The reception featured serval activities from the Thai side, comprising: an exhibition on Thailand-Peru relations, provided by the Thailand-Peru Parliamentarians Friendship Group; an exhibition on Thailand-Peru Sericulture Cooperation, provided by the Department of Sericulture; Thai traditional dance performances by the performers of the Office of the Performing Arts, Fine Arts Department, Ministry of Culture. Also, other performances from the Peruvian side included the traditional Marinera dance, the musical performance of the Cajón, a Peruvian folk instrument, accompanied by the Thai xylophone or Ranad by two Thai youths, and the lively Peruvian music by the Latin Caribe band. In addition, the reception also provided the opportunity to unveil the Book to Commemorate the 50^th Anniversary of Diplomatic Relations between Thailand and Peru, produced collaboratively between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Thailand and the Embassy of Peru. Overall, the event very well conveyed the commitment to strengthen and enhance Thailand – Peru relations of both countries.
