Royal Thai Embassy further enhances Thai-Belarusian relations

            On 20-23 September 2015, H.E. Dr. Itti Ditbanjong, Ambassador of Thailand, together with Ms. Eumporn Jiragalwisul, Director of Tourism Authority of Thailand in Moscow and the Thai diplomats, visited the Republic of Belarus to pay a farewell call on H.E. Mr. Vladimir Makei, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus, prior to the end of the Thai Ambassador’s tour of duty on 30 September 2015.
 
            Apart from the farewell call, the Thai Ambassador also discussed the future of Thai-Belarusian relations with Mr. Andrei Grinkevich, Director of the Department of Asia, Australia, and Oceania, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Belarus, and Mr. Mikhail Myatlikov, President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Belarus. Issues of discussion included the appointment of the Thai honorary consul-general in Minsk, closer political consultations, greater volume of economic relations particularly in trade and investment, and cooperation in international organization.
 
            During the farewell call, H.E. Mr. Vladimir Makei expressed his appreciation for the role of the Thai Ambassador in enhancing bilateral relations, which had multiplied threefold throughout three years of his office. The Thai Ambassador, in reply, reaffirmed his support to advancing the Thai-Belarusian relations in all capacities possible, even when his tenure of Ambassadorship comes to and end.
