On 17 September 2015, Mr. Noppadol Theppitak, Deputy Permanent Secretary of Foreign Affairs, presided over the opening ceremony of the seminar entitled "What can Thailand International Cooperation Agency (TICA) learn from Japan's International Cooperation Agency (JICA)'s Model?".

The seminar was jointly organized by TICA and JICA to share experiences from both sides as well as provide Thai agencies a chance to learn JICA's methods in formulating and managing ODA projects. The seminar was attended by executives and officers from TICA, Neighboring Countries Economic Development Cooperation Agency (NEDA), Office of the Public Sector Development Commission, and various other Thai agencies.
