On 18 June 2015, Ms. Svetlana Malyuk, General Manager Russia and Ms. Ruzanna Utegenova the executives of TAL Aviation Group as the representative of Bangkok Airways in Russia and Azerbaijan paid courtesy call upon H.E. Dr. Itti Ditbanjong, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand to the Russian Federation.      The meeting was also attended by Mr. Boonyarit Vichienpuntu, Minister Counsellor and Ms. Athikarn Dilogwattana, Second Secretary (economic officer and Press Attaché).

 

            The Thai Ambasador expressed his confidence that there remains the potential of the Russian tourism market to be further expanded in Thailand despite the current decrease of Russian tourists due to the weakening value of ruble. He also supported the marketing plan of Bangkok Airways which aims at boosting the demand of the Russians to rather travel to Thailand by regular flights as most chartered flights continued to suspend their operations.

 

            Particularly, the Thai Ambassador welcome the initiative of the airlines to organize the sales promotion activities during the next Thai Festival in Moscow 2015, which will take place at the main Moscow’s walking street, Kuznetsky Bridge, from September 12 - 13, 2015.

 

            Presently, Bangkok Airways has conducted the code - sharing flight with the Russian national airlines, Aeroflot, to connect the passengers to various main tourist destinations in Thailand.
