On 15 June 2015, H.E. Mr. Chimeddorj Battumur, Ambassador of Mongolia to Thailand, paid a courtesy call on General Tanasak Patimapragorn, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, on the occasion of completing his tenure of office in Thailand.
The Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs expressed his sincere appreciation for the ambassador’s hard work and dedication to promote of Thai- Mongolian relations and cooperation, which resulted in many high level visits, the establishment of the consultative body and bilateral cooperation and joint effort to organise activities to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the diplomatic relations between Thailand and Mongolia as well as the promotion of greater understanding of Mongolia in Thailand.
H.E. Mr. Battumur then expressed his appreciation to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs’s support to Mongolian Embassy during his tenure. He took his opportunity to emphasize Mongolian’s view in seeing Thailand as an important investment and development partner. Therefore, Mongolia wishes to further promote cooperation with Thailand at all levels.
Both sides also exchanged their views on the commitment to further strengthening technical cooperation which has been in place since 1992 and also enhancing cooperation in many potential areas, in particular development, investment in mining and energy industry, intensified cooperation at the regional and international levels, he said.
H.E. Mr. Battumur has served as Ambassador of Mongolia to Thailand since July 2012 till June 2015
