On 8 May 2015, H.E. Mr. Kiattikhun Chartprasert, Ambassador of Thailand to Sweden, attended the opening ceremony of the 4th Thai Student Academic Conference 2015 (TSAC 2015) under the theme “Green Research for Sustainable Thailand” to be held between 8-11 May 2015 in Uppsala, Sweden. The participants were over 100 people includuing Dr. Manop Sittidech, Minister-Counsellor (Science and Techonology), Office of Science and Technology in Brussels, Associate Professor Nongnit Laytragoon-Lewin, Department of Oncology, Linköping University and Department of Laboratory Medicine, Ryhov Hospital, Mr. Kittichate Visuttijai, President of Organizing Committee for TSAC 2015, Mrs. Anna Karlsson, Environmental Specialist at Vattenfall AB, Mr. Mark Howells, professor in Energy Systems Anaylsis, KTH Royal Institute of Technology, TSAC’s committess, and Thai students from European countries.
On this occasion, H.E. Ambassador Kiattikhun delivered a short remarks and congratulated the group of Thai students who made their efforts in organizing the conference succesfully. He also highlighted that the Thai government is ready to support and promote the cooperation on the comprehensive of science and techonology including innovation that relevant to commercialisation in order to develop Thailand in the near future.
TSAC 2015 is intended to support and give opportunity to Thai students and researchers who attended the conference to learn and exchange views with the specialists from the Swedish institution and authority concerned. The Thai students will also have a chance to present their academic researchs in different fields including exchanging network among Thai students who are studying at the universities in European countries.
H. E. Ambassador Kiattikhun and the group of Thai students also had a field trip to Vattenfall AB, the company that produces renewable energy located in Uppsala.
