On 20 May 2015, H.E. Mr. Don Pramudwinai, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, received Mr. Luo Haocai, the Vice Chairman of the National Committee of the 9th and 10th Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) and President of China Society for Human Rights Studies (CSHRS) together with the Delegation from the CSHRS during their visit to Thailand. The visit aimed to strengthen cooperation on human rights with academic institutions and other relevant organisations in Thailand.
         Both sides discussed and exchanged views on several issues of common interest including the Government and civil society organisations’ implementation of human rights obligations, the adoption of the National Human Rights Plans, which serve as guidelines for relevant agencies, as well as the progress on promoting and protecting human rights and quality of living of the peoples. In addition, they also shared perspectives on the effort to increase awareness on human rights, which should start from young children and adolescents, as well as possible cooperation through researches and studies on the promotion of human rights in the new era of information technology and social media.
