On 18 March 2015, Ms. Saida Muna Tasneem, Ambassador of Bangladesh to Thailand, paid a courtesy call on General Tanasak Patimapragorn, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, on the occasion of the assumption of her duty.

             Both sides discussed ways and means to further enhance bilateral cooperation in all areas such as the promotion of trade and investment, labour cooperation, tourism, cultural and religious relations and ICT as well as cooperation in multilateral fora.

            They reaffirmed their readiness to convene the 1st Bilateral Consultations between the Permanent Secretaries of the two Ministries of Foreign Affairs at the earliest opportunity, which will provide a platform for closer cooperation in areas of mutual interest. In addition, Bangladesh stands ready to host the 7th Thailand-Bangladesh Joint Commission at the ministerial level in Dhaka this year.
