Ambassador of Republic of Belarus pays courtesy call on Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and signed Agreement between Thailand and Belarus

           On 12 March 2014, Mr. Valery Sadokho, Ambassador of the Republic of Belarus to Thailand, with resident in Hanoi, paid a courtesy call on Mr. Don Pramudwinai, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs.
            Both sides discussed ways to enhance Thai-Belarusian relations, including exchanges of high-level visits, promoting trade and investment, and appointment of Honorary Consul in respective capitals. On trade and investment, Belarus seeks to expand its export market in Thailand, especially for Potash fertilizer, tyres, trucks and tractors. Meanwhile, Thai companies aims to export rubber, rubber products and processed agricultural products to Belarus.
            The Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and the Ambassador also signed the Agreement between Thailand and Belarus on Visa Exemption for Holders of Diplomatic and Official Passports. The agreement will help contribute to the promotion of exchanges of visit at the official level.
             Thailand and Belarus established diplomatic relations on 21 July 1992. In 2014, bilateral trades amounts to over 78 million USD and over 13,000 tourists from Belarus visited Thailand.
