His Excellency General Tanasak Patimapragorn, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Thailand, will pay an official visit to India from 10-12 March 2015 at the invitation of Her Excellency Mrs. Sushma Swaraj, Minister of External Affairs of India, to enhance and expand the cooperation between Thailand and India. The Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs will also attend the 7th Delhi Dialogue, a forum aimed to strengthen the strategic partnership between ASEAN and India, where he will deliver a speech at its inaugural session.
During his visit, the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Thailand is scheduled to meet with the Minister of External Affairs of India to discuss ways to further enhance cooperation in political-security and economic areas, connectivity, as well as multilateral cooperation.
The historical ties between Thailand and India, deeply rooted in the shared cultural heritage, have expanded into a robust and comprehensive partnership in the present day. The diplomatic relations have been close and cordial for the past 68 years since its establishment in 1947.
