On 5 February 2015, H.E. Mr. Tomwit Jarnson, Ambassador of Thailand to Pakistan and current Chairman of ASEAN Islamabad Committee, was awarded a commemorative plaque “the Award of Excellence 2015” by Diplomatic Focus Magazine, a leading journal of foreign affairs of Pakistan, in recognition of his commendable services for strengthening the bilateral ties between Thailand and Pakistan as well as ASEAN and Pakistan. Regional deans of various regions and groupings such as Europe, Africa, and the Arab Group including Ambassador of Japan, Ambassador of the Republic of Korea, Ambassador and Head of the European Union Delegation, Federal Minister for Defence Production, and Secretary for Information of Pakistan also attended the event.
