The Visit of Peruvian and Colombian Journalists from leading newspapers and magazines to Thailand

            The Royal Thai Embassy in Lima organized a study trip for the representatives of leading media from Peru and Colombia to visit Thailand from 11 – 18 January 2015. 
 
            Accompanied by Supamas Yunyasit, First Secretary of the Embassy, the group of media which consists of representatives from Hola, Cosas, Vamos Maganizes from Peru and El Tiempo and Go Guia Leisure from Colombia visited Bangkok, Ayutthaya, Chiang Mai and Chiang Rai and has been briefed on overview of the Thailand’s tourism management by Mrs. Jutaporn Sengrana-asa, Deputy Governor of TAT (Tourism Authority of Thailand) and political and economic situation of Thailand by Mr. Songsak Sai-Chuea, Director General of Department of American and South Pacific Affairs and officials from Department of Information, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Thailand. The group had an opportunity to visit Doi Tung Development Project in Chaing Rai, a project under the patronage of the late Princess Mother, Princess Srinagarindra. Nowadays Doi Tung Project has been internationally recognized as a project model for development and crop substitution for opium.  
 
            The visit will offer the journalists an opportunity to deepen their knowledge and understanding about Thailand in various dimensions and will help promote Thailand among Peruvian and Colombian public.
