General Tanasak Patimapragorn, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, is scheduled to pay an official visit to Brunei Darussalam during 2 – 4 February 2015.

In his first official visit to Brunei Darussalam, the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs is scheduled to have an audience with His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, and His Royal Highness Prince Mohamed Bolkiah, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Brunei Darussalam, and to meet with Pehin Dato Lim Jock Seng, Second Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Brunei Darussalam. The purpose of this visit is to strengthen the ties between the two countries in bilateral, regional, and multilateral levels, as well as to serve as a preparatory visit for the official visit of the Prime Minister of Thailand in March 2015.

Thailand and Brunei Darussalam established diplomatic relations on 1 January 1984. It has been 31 years that both nations have enjoyed close and cordial relations at all levels, especially between their royal families and their governments. The two countries have also established close cooperation in several aspects, including education, trade, investment, and military affairs.
