On 23 January 2015, General Prayut Chan-o-cha, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Thailand, and General Tanasak Patimapragorn, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, have conveyed messages of condolences on the passing of King Abdullah Bin Abdul Aziz Al Saud as follows:

Message of Condolences from the Prime Minister to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdul Aziz Al Saud, King of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia

Your Majesty,
          I have learned with profound sadness of the passing of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdul Aziz Al Saud of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. 
          On behalf of the Royal Thai Government and the people of Thailand, I have the honour to extend my deepest condolences and sympathy to Your Majesty, Members of the Royal Family of Saudi Arabia, as well as to the Government and the people of Saudi Arabia in this moment of bereavement.
           Thailand joins the people around the world in mourning the irreparable loss of the great statesman. His leadership and contributions to global peace and international understanding as well as great services to Islam and all Muslims throughout the world will be forever remembered with deep admiration and respect.  
            Accept, Your Majesty, the assurances of my highest consideration.

         I am deeply saddened to learn of the passing of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdul Aziz Al Saud of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
         In this time of national grief and mourning, I wish to express my heartfelt condolences and commiseration to Your Royal Highness, Members of the Royal Family and the people of Saudi Arabia. Our prayers and thoughts are with all of you at this time of great sorrow.
