On 16 January 2015, H.E. Mr. Pitchayaphant Charnbhumidol, Ambassador of Thailand to Brazil, paid a courtesy call on H.E. Mr. Vinicius Nobre Lajes, Minister of Tourism of Brazil.

 

            During the meeting, bilateral cooperation in the area of tourism especially on eco-tourism and hotel management between Thailand and Brazil was discussed and promoted. Brazil and Thailand can learn from each other in various areas such as coastal development, destination Management Company (DMC) development, religion tourism as well as the integration of tourism with other sectors of the society in which Thailand is well known for.

 

            Both side share same interest in expediting the negotiation of the Memorandum of Understanding on Tourism between Brazil and Thailand to be used as a basis for tourism cooperation and promotion.
