On 5 December 2014, the Royal Thai Consulate-General in Dubai hosted the Thai Father's Day 2014 to celebrate the Auspicious Occasion of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej’s 87th Birthday Anniversary for the Thai community in Dubai and the Northern Emirates.  

 

           The celebration began with a merit making morning, followed by a variety of activities in the afternoon, including traditional Thai performance, games, raffle draws and more.

 

            At 18.09 hrs, H.E. Thosaporn Moonlasartsathorn, Consul-General, his wife and representatives from the Team Thailand in Dubai, led the candlelight  vigil and sang the Royal Anthem to cerebrate His Majesty's Birthday Anniversary.

 

            Thai Father's Day is an annual event to celebrate the Auspicious Occasion of His Majesty's Birthday Anniversary and also serves as a function where the Thai community can enjoy networking and socializing  between colleagues and friends. This year, approximately 500 people attended the event.
