            On November 25th 2014, H.E. Mrs. Nongnuth Phetcharatana, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand to the Federal Republic of Germany, met with Mr. Dieter Reiter, Mayor of Munich, at the Neues Rathaus in Munich, in which Khunying Barbara Riepl, the Royal Thai Honorary Consul-General for Bavaria and Saxony, also attended.  In this occasion, H.E. the Ambassador stressed the importance of Munich as the location of head quarters of German business; such as BMW Siemens, that plays a significant role on investment in Thailand.  Munich is also the gateway to Germany for many Thai tourists whereas there are over hundred thousand of German tourists from Bavaria visiting Thailand every year.
 
            H.E. the Ambassador also took this opportunity to provide latest information on political situation in Thailand that Thailand is making steady progress on the 2nd phase of the Roadmap, which includes pursuit of national reform and the constitution drafting. Furthermore, both sides agreed to promote cooperation in the areas of trade and investment, education, water management, and exchange of medical personnel, in which H.E. the Ambassador has invited the Mayor of Munich to visit Thailand to explore potential areas of cooperation with Thailand in the future.
