On 20th November, 2014, the Consul-General of Thailand, together with Ms. Pratana Udommongkolkul, Consul, and LCDR. Wittawat Khuprasert, RTN., Consul (Labour Section), paid a visit to the team of 25 Thai badminton players and coaches who join the Yonex-Sunrise Hong Kong Open 2014 during 18th – 23rd November, 2014. On this occasion, Mr. Udom Luangphetcharaporn, coach of the Thai badminton players, and Ms. Ratchanok Intanon, the youngest singles World Champion who won the World Championships in 2013, also gave their views on challenges arising from the games in Hong Kong and the development of Thai badminton. Thai badminton players have built reputation for Thailand and allowed greater connectivities between the Thai people and a number of Hong Kong badminton fans who follow the games.
