On the deaths of two British nationals on Koh Tao, Surat Thani, on 19 September 2014, three messages of condolences have been conveyed by General Prayut Chan-o-cha, Prime Minister, on behalf of the Government and the people of Thailand, to the British Prime Minister David Cameron, the family of Miss Hannah Victoria Witheridge, and the family of Mr. David William Miller. The Royal Thai Embassy in London had already delivered the said messages to the British Foreign and Commonwealth Office.

In the meantime, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs is coordinating with the British Embassy in Bangkok and relevant Thai agencies in facilitating the arrival of the Witheridges and also during their stay in Thailand. The Ministry will closely coordinate with the Thai agencies concerned to inform the progress of the case to the families of the victims.
