On 16 August 2014, H.E. Mr. Somchai Charanasomboon, Ambassador of Thailand to Sweden, and his wife, along with the Embassy’s officials and staffs attended the celebration of the National Mother’s Day at Värmdöbygdegård, Stockholm. 

 

         H.E. Ambassador Somchai led the participants in merit-making activities as well as offered food alms to monks.  Later, H.E. Ambassador Somchai joined the Thai community to sing the Thai Royal Anthem to Her Majesty the Queen and wished Her Majesty the Queen a greatest happiness and healthiness on the auspicious occasion of Her Majesty’s Birthday on 12 August 2014.  The Thai community also had an opportunity to extend their blessings in a signing book to Her Majesty the Queen.  

 

         Apart from the official ceremony, there are Thai food stalls, Thai traditional performances performed by Thai community in Sweden keeping the partcipants enjoyed. More over 1,000 people both Thai and Swedish attended the said event.
