On the 10  August 2014, at 7:00 PM, H.E. Mr. Maris Sangiampongsa, Ambassador of Thailand to Australia, hosted Her Majesty the Queen’s 82nd Birthday Celebration Ceremony, at Sala Thai, Royal Thai Embassy in Canberra. Embassy, Team Thailand officials, Thai community, Friends of Thailand, and Thai golfers from ACT, NSW, QLD, VIC, and WA, approximately 300 people,  attended the ceremony and dinner. The Ambassador welcomed the guests and gave a Mother’s day speech, updating on the current political situation in Thailand, emphasising on Thais’ solidarity for Her Majesty the Queen, and informing Thai community of Royal Thai Embassy’s upcoming events such as Thai food and cultural festival on the 21 of September 2014, and the Sermon of the Lord Buddha’s last incarnation in New Zealand between 28 - 30 November 2014.
