On 21 July 2014,  H.E. Mr. Pitchayaphant Charnbhumidol, Ambassador of Thailand to Brazil, presented books and educational materials on Thailand to Prof. Dr.Ivan Marques de Toledo Camargo, Rector of the University of Brasilia, under the Thailand Corner Programme with the aims to promote good understanding between the peoples of Brazil and Thailand. Ambassador of Thailand stated t during this occasion that the programme was part of cultural diplomacy to foster knowledge and cordial relationship between the two countries through the UNB students who are Brazil’s young and important generation.

The Embassy launched the first Thailand Corner Programme in Brazil at the University of Catholica of Brasilia in 2012.
