On 10 July 2014, H.E. Ms. Vimon Kidchob, Ambassador of Thailand to Denmark, on behalf of the Thai Community in Denmark and the Royal Thai Embassy in Copenhagen, donated all proceeds of 9,000 DKK from selling mats and individual contributions at the Thai Festival in Copenhagen 2014 held on 31 May 2014 at Havneparken, Islands Brygge to the Danish Red Cross.

Receiving the donation, Mrs. Birgitte Mabeck, Fund Raising and Market Director of the Danish Red Cross, expressed her gratitude for the initiative in contributing to public service activities in Denmark.

Denmark has been a second home to many Thais for quite some time. Active involvement and contribution to the society through public activities help reaffirm the goodwill of the Thai Community towards Denmark and the Danish people.

The Danish Red Cross carries out activities both in Denmark and worldwide. In Denmark, Danish Red Cross focuses on people who have no access to social benefits which include helping troubled families and providing emergency basic healthcare.

The donation from the Thai Community and the Royal Thai Embassy in Copenhagen will help with funding the above mentioned clinics.
