Statement of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Thailand

on the situation in the Gaza Strip

                        Thailand is seriously concerned over the further escalation of hostilities between the Gaza Strip and Israel, which has caused a high number of casualties among civilians.

                        We urge all parties to exercise maximum restraint and stop all hostilities in order to  allow for humanitarian access to assist innocent civilians, especially women and children caught in the conflict.

                         We call on all sides to make utmost efforts to work towards a durable solution to this long - standing conflict, which can only be achieved through peaceful negotiations.
