On 25 June 2014, Ambassador Pitchayaphant Charnbhumidol hosted the “Diplomatic Friends of Thailand” dinner at Thai Residence. The participants were Ambassadors of Egypt, Jordan, Sri Lanka, Fiji, Morocco and Pakistan to Brazil. 

 

During the dinner, Mr. Ambassador took the opportunity to update about the situation in Thailand that Thai people are satisfied with the overall performance of the National Council for Peace and Order (NCPO) during the past month. They could go to work and the business runsas usual since the situation has returned to normal. The economic roadmap revealed by the NCPO also received support from the private sector with the belief that it could help bolster economy and stimulate growth. It was expected that a general election under a democratic system should be held within a year and a half from now on. 

 

The participants expressed their support and understanding toward Thailand’s situation and hoped that the implementation of three-phase Roadmap will be achieved as planned.
