On 25 June 2014 the Royal Thai Embassy in Moscow received the Board of the Thai Amateur Weightlifting Association and sportsmen, who took part in the 2014 Junior World Weightlifting Championship, taken place in Kazan between 20 and 28 June 2014. The Thai team won 2 gold and 6 silver medals from the competition. During the event the Thai Amateur Weightlifting Association also promoted Thailand to about 43 nations in the weightlifting family as well as discussed with the Russian Weightlifting Federation on establishing bilateral cooperation between the two organizations. The Royal Thai Embassy in Moscow welcomes the success of the Thai Amateur Weightlifting Association and is ready to facilitate the Thai side in coordinating with the Russian side in this matter.
