On 20 June 2014, the Royal Thai Embassy in Hanoi, in collaboration with the University of Social Science and Humanity, Vietnam National University in Hanoi, has organized a project to enhance better understanding about Thailand and Thai language among the University’s students. On this occasion, H.E. Mr. Panyarak Poolthup, Ambassador of Thailand, discussed with Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Quang Minh, Vice Rector for Research Affairs, and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Tuong Lai, Professor of the Faculty of Oriental Studies, on the promotion of educational cooperation between Thailand and Vietnam as one of the Embassy’s important missions under the framework of Thailand-Vietnam Strategic Partnership.

Following the meeting, the Ambassador exchanged views with the Thai Studies students at  Faculty of Oriental Studies, about the Thai image, culture and people. The Embassy also donated fund to support the University on the publication of 1,000 Thai language instruction books for Vietnamese students.
